Always-on Life Recorder Company is Finalist in Inaugural Florida Statewide Business Plan Competition

Tampa, FL November 06, 2006 - Personal Memory Systems, Inc. competed as a finalist in the first ever intercollegiate business plan competition among Florida universities.

Jack Mendell, Shaun Bolger, and Chris Harden, three students of the MBA and Masters of MIS and Masters of Entrepreneurship programs at the University of South Florida presented a high-growth Personal Memory Systems business plan to a panel of six judges at the Gaylord Palms Resort over Halloween weekend.

They also introduced an early prototype of the Video Memory System, a tiny camera, smaller than a dime, connected via video cable to the Dell Axim x50. The VMS software will eventually record video content to the media card in the unit 24/7.

Personal Memory Systems Inc. is a software startup that creates convenient solutions for the day-to-day and lifelong memory problems that plague almost everyone. The software runs 24/7 recording all audio on Windows Mobile 5.0 devices, such as the Treo 700w, Dell Axim x50, and the Samsung i730.

Shaun Bolger is currently a master’s candidate in the University of South Florida’s Entrepreneurship program. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies from Bellarmine University and has a background in real estate and retail management. Beginning in December, Shaun will begin working for a health and wellness company executing business strategy.

Jack Mendell is currently earning a double Masters in Management Information Systems and Entrepreneurship at the University of South Florida. He earned his bachelors degree in Business - Marketing from The University of Northern Colorado located in Greeley, Colorado. Jack has been in the IT field for last 12 years and currently works for FedEx National LTL headquartered in Lakeland, Florida.
